UCI Rankings Team Update | UAE Team Emirates' closest competitor is now Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale

Over the first week of the Giro d'Italia we're beginning to understand that UAE Team Emirates is likely to increase it's advantage significantly over the rest in the UCI Team rankings. The team is close to double the points of it's closest rival and this barrier may be passed over the coming weeks.

In the most recent update UAE presents 14017 points, now followed by Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team who rose to second place much due to the victory of Benoît Cosnefroy in the GP du Morbihan. The French team now has 7461 points and leads Lidl-Trek and Alpecin-Deceuninck by a short margin. Interestingly, towards the bottom of the top teams we've also seen Uno-X Mobility overtaking Cofidis in the points scored this season.
