UCI Rankings Team Update | INEOS climbs to second place whilst UAE's lead grows further

UAE Team Emirates have put in a masterclass in UCI point gathering at the Tour de Suisse, finishing first and second in the overall classification. Their gap to rival teams will be of almost 10.000 points into the Tour de France, with only the national championships left to go.

UAE Team Emirates obviously remains at the top of the rankings but over this past week but the increase in the leading gap has exponentially increase. Now it is over 9000 points as UAE Team Emirates completely destroyed the competition at the Tour de Suisse, finishing first and second with Adam Yates and João Almeida. The gap is of 9104 over INEOS Grenadiers who are now in second, having had Egan Bernal and Tom Pidcock ride to fourth and sixth, bringing in important points that have allowed them to overtake Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale. Lidl-Trek sits fourth whilst BORA - hansgrohe overtook Alpecin-Deceuninck into fifth place. This was largely due to Giovanni Aleotti's victory at the Tour of Slovenia. There have been no meaningful changes in the rest of the standings; Astana Qazaqstan Team remains the lowest-scoring World Tour team this season and their mission to remain in the World Tour continues to be one that is at this point almost impossible.
