UCI Rankings Riders Update | Pogacar, Vingegaard and del Toro make up the podium of the 2025 season

Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard
The final update of the 2025 season features Asian races such as Tour of Guangxi and the Utsunomiya Japan Cup Road Race, two Italian classics - Giro del Veneto and Veneto Classic -, the NIBC Tour of Holland and Chrono des Nations.
You can check the previous UCI rankings update. As expected, the top 3 has not changed in this final week, and it is Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard and Isaac del Toro who make up the podium.
The Slovenian ends up a historic season with 11.680 points, after winning almost every race he has participated in, including the Tour de France, the World Championships road race, European Championships, three monuments (Ronde van Vlaanderen - Tour des Flandres, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Il Lombardia) and more.
Jonas Vingegaard stays with 5.924 points, after another solid season in which he added the Vuelta a España to his palmarès, besides finishing in second place at the Tour de France. Despite that, he never had the legs to beat his main rival Pogacar, so he will surely work during the offseason to try to close that gap in 2026.
Isaac del Toro finished off the season on a high note. He has won 16 times this year, which allows him to be in third place despite his younge age (21 years old). He overtook Mads Pedersen last week and he has added even more points this week, after winning Giro del Veneto. The 200 points he added to his tally were not enough to pass Vingegaard, but he is just 245 points off. If the season had lasted a little longer, he would have most likely ended in second place.
Most of the top riders do not usually compete in the last week of the season, and that can be seen in the rankings. There were no changes in the top 15, and only Oscar Onley lost some points, given that he didn't fly to Guangxi to defend the 275 UCI points he got there last year.
Mads Pedersen and Joao Almeida complete the top 5, with Remco Evenepoel sitting in sixth. Tom Pidcock finished seventh just ahead of Mathieu van der Poel, who didn't race much in the second half of the season. The aforementioned Oscar Onley and Wout van Aert close the top 10.
One man that went to Guangxi was the French prodigy Paul Magnier. The 21-year-old cannot stop winning, as he claimed victory in 5 out of 6 stages. An outstanding feat especially considering his young age and the fact that Tour of Guangxi is a World Tour event, even if the top sprinters were not present.
All that success awarded him 226 points, which were enough to rank him up to the 19th spot, which is the same number of wins he got this year, definitely a funny coincidence. He was the second man with the most wins only after Pogacar, who got 20.
Some men winning or finishing in the top 3 also saw a final boost in their ranking. It was the case of Lenny Martinez, who prevailed in Japan and moved up 8 spots, finishing in the 31st place. Jhonatan Narváez didn't win but finished in third place in Guangxi, helping him to go up 13 spots and reach the 44th position.
Finally, Jonas Abrahamsen, Diego Ulissi and Florian Vermeersch all had success in the Italian classics, being very close to victory. They all moved uo between 14 and 16 spots, sitting very close to each other inside the top 85.
