Italian classics such as Il Lombardia, Tre Valli Varesine, Gran Piemonte, Coppa Bernocchi - GP Banco BPM and Trofeo Tessile & Moda - Valdengo Oropa, the Paris - Tours Elite, Tour de Vendée, Binche - Chimay - Binche / Mémorial Frank Vandenbroucke and the Chinese stage race Tour of Taihu Lake feature this week's update, which is also the penultimate of the year.
You can check the previous UCI rankings update here. There are substantial changes in the top 10, but what remains unchanged in the first place. Tadej Pogacar put an end to a historic season winning both Tre Valli Varesine and Il Lombardia and added even more points to his tally.
The Slovenian super star didn't miss his date with the last monument of the year, getting his fifth Lombardia in a row and successfully defending 800 UCI points. He also got the victory in the Tre Valli Varesine a few days earlier, obtaining 200 additional points, as last year's edition was cancelled due to bad weather. He has thus finished with 11.680 points, an almost unbeatable record.
His teammate Isaac del Toro continued his impressive 2025 season, storming into the podium after another busy week where he participated in three races and won one - Gran Piemonte. Finishing fifth at Lombardia and eighth at Tre Valli Varesine, he got 610 points, reaching a total of 5479 and overtaking Mads Pedersen, who has already finished his season.
The Mexican is not done yet, and he still plans to ride the Giro del Veneto, which might give him even more points. It will be however not enough under any circumstances to reach Jonas Vingegaard, the man sitting in second, as he is more than 400 points away.
Tom Pidcock is another man going up in the rankings, passing Mathieu van der Poel and reaching the seventh spot with 3889 points. The Briton got 258 points after a solid sixth place in Lombardia, wrapping up what has been a great season for him, as he won five times and got into the podium of the Vuelta a España.
Oscar Onley and Wout van Aert are now ninth and tenth respectively due to Giulio Ciccone's illness. The Italian fell sick in Rwanda during the World Championships and wasnt't able to defend the third place he got last year at Lombardia, losing 525 points.
A notable addition to the top 20 is Jay Vine. The Australian is finishing the season in top shape, being ninth at Lombardia and third at Trofeo Tessile & Moda - Valdengo Oropa, which has been enough for him to climb up to the 19th spot.
Michael Storer, Quinn Simmons, Paul Seixas and Egan Bernal were other riders sneaking into the top 10 at Lombardia, which granted them a huge amount of points and a big ascent in the ranking as a result. Simmons was the main beneficiary thanks to his fourth place, going up 37 positions.
Matteo Trentin and Dorian Godon also improved their rankings thanks to great performances in races other than Lombardia. In the case of Trentin, he won Paris - Tours Elite in an unexpected reduced sprint and went up 46 spots, making it to the top 100 again.
Regarding Godon, he has finished the season on a very high note before moving to Ineos. He won two races in a row - Coppa Bernocchi - GP Banco BPM and Tour de Vendée - besides sprinting to eighth at Paris - Tours Elite, gaining 325 points and going up 40 positions, which makes it almost certain for the French rider to stay in the top 100 at least until 2026.
