The
UCI WorldTour will be expanded with a new competition in 2025. The international cycling union has announced that the Copenhagen Race, a brand new one-day race in Denmark, will be added to the calendar next season. The men's and women's competition will enter the WorldTour at the same time, just ahead of the National Championships.
The Copenhagen Race will be held on the weekend of June 21 and 22, two weeks before the start of the Tour de France 2025, colliding with the last stage of Tour de Suisse (June 16-22). On Saturday, we'll witness the women's race and on Sunday the men will compete in the Danish capital, which hosted Grand Départ in 2022. We can expect a flat route with a mix of short climbs, crosswinds and rain - the type of race that was missing on the calendar in the period.
