All eyes are already on Giro d'Italia Grande Partenza next Saturday, yet the world didn't stop spinning and so the traditional Vuelta a Asturias is back with it's already 67th edition this Friday with three days of full gas racing at the north of Iberian Peninsula.
Unsurprisingly, UAE Team Emirates - a team with strong bounds to Spain, doesn't intend to take the 2.1 lightly and thus nominates Isaac del Toro and António Morgado.
The pair already bossed the Giro della Romagna field where the Mexican supertalent launched Morgado towards the front group where the Portuguese didn't have any problems to secure the final sprint.
Back to the Spanish stage race, both youngsters can have a goal to chase after. While Del Toro should be able to bring home the opening stage with downhill finish to Pola de Lena, stages 2 and 3 don't seem to have potential to be decisive for the GC. Then either a reduced sprint or late attack could bring success and this is where fast Morgado comes into the play. It seems to be only a matter of shaking down Movistar's Fernando Gaviria...
