Mads Pedersen is a rider who enjoys the Tour of Flanders. Almost a winner of the cobbled monument in the past, the Danish classics rider is leading Trek - Segafredo in pursuit of a strong result.
The 27-year old is just off of a fifth place at both Gent-Wevelgem and Dwars door Vlaanderen. He also rode to sixth at Milano-Sanremo and won stages at both Paris-Nice and Etoile de Bessèges, his form is proven and he will be chasing a result in the race where he broke through as a big star back in 2018 in his debut.

Trek is a very experienced team, still racing on the backbones of it's work with Fabian Cancellara a decade ago. The team is also oriented to that, with Jasper Stuyven and Edward Theuns being respectable outsiders for this race and providing the team with some depth in which to attack the race early on in favour of Pedersen.
Emils Liepins, Daan Hoole, Alex Kirsch and Mathias Vacek concluded the lineup. Pedesern has a very strong sprint but will find his challenge in the climbs where he must face the likes of Wout van Aert, Mathieu van der Poel and Tadej Pogacar.
