Tour de France 2026 Classifications update Stage 18 - Carapaz jumps into Top10; Pedersen reinforces green jersey and Pogacar risks losing KOM

The 2026 Tour de France classifications will shift across three weeks of racing, from the Grand Départ in Barcelona on 4 July to the final stage in Paris on 26 July. Across time trials, sprint stages, breakaway opportunities, and the high mountains, each day can alter the shape of the race for the yellow and the Tour’s other major jerseys. Here we look at the race's classifications and update them on a daily - including the fight for the yellow jersey.

This live classifications hub is updated after each stage of the 2026 Tour de France with the latest General Classification, Points Classification, Mountains Classification and Best Young Rider standings. As the race develops, it tracks the key movements in the fight for the yellow jersey, green jersey, polka-dot jersey, and white jersey.

The General Classification remains the central battle of the Tour, but the wider standings often tell their own stories as the race moves through different terrain. Sprint stages can reshape the points competition, mountain days can transform the polka-dot jersey fight, and the white jersey battle can change quickly when young contenders are tested across repeated days of pressure.

With 21 stages and four major jersey competitions to follow, the Tour de France standings can change through time gaps, bonus seconds, breakaway moves, sprint points, mountain points, and decisive race incidents. This page will follow those changes throughout the 2026 Tour de France.

Within the main GC men, nothing has changed today. The climb to Orcières-Merlette wasn't hard enough to convince the GC men to test each other, and so Tadej Pogacar leaves stage 18 with the same 4:32 minutes over Remco Evenepoel.

Isaac del Toro remains third 6:51 minutes away, 20 seconds ahead of Paul Seixas in what should be the most important battle over the coming days when it comes to the overall classification.

Juan Ayuso, Mattias Skjelmose, Lenny Martínez, Tom Pidcock and Jordan Jegat have maintained their respective positions in the GC. Richard Carapaz has moved into the Top10, having been the only GC rider making it into the front group and effectively gaining over 4:30 minutes over his direct rivals.

The fight for the final spot in the Top10 still exists and Carapaz overtook Yannis Voisard. The Frenchman and Ilan van Wilder still have a chance of climbing into it, but will depend on the men ahead of them having a bad day.

A meaningful change has happened today in the points classification. The intermediate sprint was positioned later in the day and because of this, Jasper Philipsen did not have the legs to join the day's breakaway. That was Mads Pedersen's mission, and the Dane flew across to then score maximum points at the intermediate sprint.

Those 25 points may decide the green jersey, as the gap has risen from 7 to 32 points - with only one more potential sprint stage remaining.

The KOM classification fight has ignited today, with Tadej Pogacar and UAE letting the breakaway go. The yellow jersey remains in the lead of the classification with 70 points, but his lead over Valentin Paret-Peintre is now of only 1 point.

However Richard Carapaz has stronger form than Paret-Peintre and has won today's stage. Despite this, Paret-Peintre maintained the 6 points over the Ecuadorian, meaning everything is yet to be decided.

The youth classification goes into the Alpe d'Huez stage exactly the same, without gaps having been created in Orcières-Merlette. Isaac del Toro remains in the lead and holds the white jersey by 20 seconds over Paul Seixas. Juan Ayuso has 2:31 minutes of disadvantage whilst Lenny Martínez sits 5:59 minutes behind.

Virtually, the team's classification is sealed. UAE Team Emirates - XRG has seen Brandon McNulty withdraw from the race today whilst Adam Yates is sick. Whilst Felix Grossschartner did not lose too much time, the team lost a few more minutes to Lidl-Trek this afternoon and the gap has grown into 22 minutes. Although the two remaining mountain stages are brutal, all signs point towards a stronger Lidl-Trek collectively.
