"Together with such a team it feels very special" - Annemiek van Vleuten takes 4th Giro Donne title

For the fourth time in her career and on her final time at the race, Annemiek van Vleuten has taken the overall victory at the Giro d'Italia Donne.
“It is always special to win a GC. You also have to do it with the team. This was the second time that I won here with Movistar. It is sometimes stressful, but together with such a team it feels very special," said a delighted van Vleuten with a beaming smile in her post-race interview.
In a truly dominant performance, van Vleuten won the overall race by over three minutes, the points classification, the King of the Mountains classification and three stages. Next up for the Movistar Team leader, the Tour de France Femmes.
“I will stay in Italy, now go back to Livigno. First I will have a party there, then I will recharge the batteries and prepare for the Tour," concludes the 40-year-old.
