Annemiek van Vleuten wins the 2023 Giro d'Italia Donne as Chiara Consonni takes victory on final stage

Chiara Consonni has taken the win on the final stage of the Giro d'Italia Donne in a bunch sprint as Annemiek van Vleuten confirmed her overall victory

The final stage of the 2023 Giro d'Italia Donne and with Annemiek van Vleuten having an almost unassailable lead of the general classification, the only thing to really be decided was the winner of the stage.

Heading into the finale, Alessia Vigilia was dangling out in front of the bunch but with 5km to go her day was done. As the sprints opened up it was Chiara Consonni who proved the quickest.
