Christophe Laporte won the Tour of Denmark. He secured the last stage and gained enough bonus seconds to pass Magnus Sheffield in the general classification.
"This was a great day for us," Laporte said. He was confident in his teammate's ability, and they worked hard to prove him right. “After the chase, I was dropped in a good position. The team was fantastic. There was a steep climb before the line, but I was confident I could win," said Laporte.
However, he won’t get much time to celebrate his victory as the Frenchman will participate in Bemer Cyclassics alongside his leader Wout Van Aert. "I'm going to enjoy it now, and tomorrow we'll go for it again in Hamburg," Laporte concluded.
