Christophe Laporte wins Tour of Denmark

Jumbo Visma rider Christophe Laporte has won the fourth and final stage of the Tour of Denmark. He beat Magnus Sheffield, Mattias Skjelmose Jensen, and Jhonatan Narváez to secure the victory.

The breakaway included Olav Kooij, Anders Foldager, Mads Andersen, Nickolas Zukowsky, Nickolas Zukowsky, Otto Vergaerde, Tim Declercq, and Jens Keukeleire. The group increased the pace and took a gap of 3 minutes and 23 seconds.

Soon riders started to drop back into the peloton. By the end of 10 kilometers, only Mathias Bregnhøj was ahead of the peloton, and that too by just 15 seconds. In the final kilometer, Christophe Laporte, Magnus Sheffield, Mattias Skjelmose Jensen, and Jhonatan Narváez were the only riders competing for the gold. Laporte took the stage victory as Sheffield won the silver. Jensen managed to take the bronze. Laporte is the overall winner of the tour.
