Team Cofidis president Thierry Vittu will end his mandate on July 1, 2024: "I realized that I was no longer able to do it"

During the presentation evening of the 2024 team this Friday in Roubaix, Thierry Vittu announced that he was ending his mandate as president of the Cofidis team. On July 1, he will end his duties as Director of Human Resources and Communications for the Cofidis group.
"We had agreed that I would continue my mandate as president of the Cofidis team," confides Thierry. "However, I realized that I was no longer able to do it because I could no longer make the link between the team and Cofidis."

"I remember when François Migraine, who created the team in 1996, entrusted me with this mission and gave me the keys to the truck," Vittu recalls. "I discovered endearing personalities, passionate people at the heart of an exciting environment."
Vittu will travel to the team training camp next week in order to inform the riders and staff. In the coming months, he aspires to 'continue to rub shoulders with the cycling universe'. "I want to be available to the team and the race organizers. If they need a helping hand or advice, I will respond positively and with great pleasure," he concludes.
