Tadej Pogacar wins stage three of Tour of Slovenia

The Tour of Slovenia returned to the hills today, and the overwhelming favourite Tadej Pogacar has made the difference on a complicated day, winning the stage and taking over the race lead.

The 144-kilometer long route into Celje was marked by the ascent to Svetina where Pogacar attacked and distanced the competition. He was joined by Rafal Majka later on, and Nicola Conci who flew down the technical descent where the UAE riders struggled. In the final hilltop finish though, Pogacar didn't struggle to assert his dominance and took the win, with Majka and Conci completing the Top3.
