Back in action 👊🚴♂️ Meet your Grenadiers to take on #TDLP2022 🇫🇷
A strong set of riders will be representing INEOS Grenadiers in the Tour de la Provence this week and they feature four different riders who can target the win on each of the four stages of the race.
After a not-so-good start to the season in Bessèges, Richard Carapaz will be looking to turn his luck around in some tougher terrain this week as he should be targeting the overall classification, which normally will be decided in the Montagne du Lure. The Equatorian climber crashed at the recent Etoile de Bessèges but having started the following day, he has given good indications that the injuries must not have hampered his performance much.
World time-trial champion Filippo Ganna is also going to be present at the start, after showing interest in returning to the race that has seen him win his first race as a professional in 2019, in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, the finishing location of the second stage. There, it will be Elia Viviani who will get an opportunity to strike, after having a strong start to the season in Valencia. Lastly Ethan Hayter who can realistically target every stage, but should have his eyes on the hilly sprint in Manosque which should suit his abilities perfectly, and with a time-trial at the beginning the British can be dangerous for the overall classification as he is very much capable of climbing well.
INEOS Grenadiers for Tour de la Provence: Richard Carapaz, Filippo Ganna, Elia Viviani, Ethan Hayter, Salvatore Puccio, Luke Rowe.
