AG2R Citroën Team have reassured the future of their classics block by announcing the signing of Stan Dewulf, the young Belgian rider now has a contract with the team until 2024 as he slowly progresses up the team's ranks.
With both Oliver Naesen and Greg van Avermaet set to stay with the French team for the 2023 season, they have assured the quality of their cobbled classics block which has been developed over the last few seasons. Dewulf is the current defending champion of the Boucles de l'Aulne, and finished fifth at Paris-Tours last year, aswell as second place at the Tour de Wallonie and 11th at the European Championships.
This season he has been showing great form as he went over the climbs of the Vuelta a Andalucia's stage three to finish third on Magnus Sheffield's glorious day, and has later finished fourth at Le Samyn. Currently he's at Paris-Nice where he was riding at the support of Ben O'Connor, but upon the Australian's DNF he is set to go for stage wins later on in the race.
