#GirodellEmilia reaction from @romainbardet 💬"It was a pretty big day out today to restart the racing for me after the Vuelta. The guys did a good job to bring me and Chris in a good way to the local circuit and from there it was down to the legs."
For the 8th time in his career, Romain Bardet will set off to Il Lombardia. The Frenchman has often done well on Italian roads, since he has already made 3 top 10s. This year, he will face particularly tough competition, but he hopes to shine in his last race of the season.
Within the dsm-firmenich Team, he will be supported by a solid selection. The youngsters Max Poole, Oscar Onley, Matthew Dinham and Kevin Vermaerke will be present, as will the more experienced Chris Hamilton and Florian Stork.
"It’s a magnificent but demanding course and we want to end the season in style with a good result," says Pim Ligthart, sporting director of the Dutch team. "Romain is our leader in Lombardy and we have a strong squad with experienced and younger guys to support him in the best possible way."
