Jan Tratnik was brought into Jumbo-Visma for the 2023 season and the main role for him was the support for Primoz Roglic. The two compatriots linked up this season, Tratnik was unable to ride the Giro d'Italia having crashed the day prior, but helped the team to success at the Vuelta a Burgos and Vuelta a Espana.
He currently carries great form into the Italian Autumn classics and will race together with Roglic at Il Lombardia certainly, however the partnership will then end. Earlier this morning it was rumoured that Tratnik could join Roglic in his upcoming transfer, but GCN's Daniel Benson was told that the 33-year old did not have the freedom to break his contract.
