Mick van Dijke has won Stage 3 of the 2026 Eneco Tour after beating Victor Campenaerts in a two-man sprint at the end of a heavily fragmented finale.
The Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe rider came past Campenaerts inside the final few hundred metres to take victory after 2:25:52, with the Belgian crossing the line one second behind.
Campenaerts had launched the sprint first after doing much of the work inside the final kilometre, but Van Dijke remained close enough to come around him before the line and claim the stage.
Jonas Rutsch led the next group home nine seconds later, with Pierre Thierry fourth at ten seconds and Wessel Mouris fifth at 13.
Late attacks tear the race apart
The decisive moves developed after the original breakaway of Rutsch, Thierry, Jesse Kramer and Rick Ottema had been joined and reshaped by attacks from behind.
Campenaerts was particularly active in the closing kilometres and eventually broke clear with Van Dijke. Rutsch and Thierry remained in pursuit, while Mouris moved across to the second chase group as the gaps opened behind.
Further back, the general classification contenders were scattered across several groups. Finn Fisher-Black recovered to finish ninth at 33 seconds alongside Tomáš Kopecký and Milan Lanhove, while race leader Jakob Söderqvist and Ethan Hayter had both been distanced during the finale.
Mouris took the most from the late GC battle among the leading overall contenders, finishing only 13 seconds behind Van Dijke after starting the day fourth overall, 20 seconds behind Söderqvist.
