It was a rolling 32.3 kilometer time-trial which had two riders as the main contenders in Evenepoel and
Stefan Küng. Before them though many riders took the hot seat, with the likes of Yves Lampaert, Rafael Reis and Daan Hoole also temporarily having the best time.
When Küng set his time it would be a tough challenge for everyone else, however as everyone failed to beat his time, one rider stood out and not only beat but crushed Küng's time as Evenepoel removed 58 seconds off the Swiss' rider's time.
Evenepoel took the win in the time-trial and is the new race leader, he had Küng and
Ethan Hayter as his nearest competitors on the day and in the GC he's now leading with 1:06 minutes over the INEOS Grenadiers rider.
