Remco Evenepoel happy with Julian Alaphilippe's Dauphiné victory: "This is what they call answering with the pedals"

Julian Alaphilippe has had a difficult couple of seasons with illnesses and crashes frequently preventing him from riding at his best. His victory yesterday at the Criterium du Dauphiné was a much needed boost of motivation and form, and it was noticed by Remco Evenepoel who celebrated his teammate's success.

"This is what they call answering with the pedals," Alaphilippe said in an Instagram post. "Congrats @alafpolak". Alaphilippe was a key supporter during last year's Vuelta a Espana where the World Champion won his first Grand Tour, he is currently preparing for the Tour de France and should be among the main favourites to take the first yellow jersey in Bilbao.
