Remco Evenepoel and Fabio Jakobsen lead highly-ambitious Soudal - Quick-Step at Vuelta a San Juan

Remco Evenepoel will see his new Soudal - Quick-Step World champion's jersey debuted at the Vuelta a San Juan next week, as the Belgian team confirmed their lineup for the Argentinian race which also features Fabio Jakobsen.

Back after several seasons due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Vuelta a San Juan is back on the menu, with six flat stages and a mountaintop finish to be a good place for many riders to start their season calmly. Remco Evenepoel won't start the race with exact ambitions but is likely the man to beat on the roads of Argentina, where there will be a peloton featuring many continental teams.

Evenepoel will face the likes of Miguel Ángel López and Egan Bernal in the mountains. He will have the presence of Pieter Serry and new signing Jan Hirt who will form part of his block for the Giro d'italia.

The team will chase plenty stage wins however as Fabio Jakobsen comes in hunt of wins in the sprints. Alongside him are Michael Morkov and Yves Lampaert who have consolidated themselves as prime leadout men for the European Champion.

Soudal - Quick-Step for Vuelta a San Juan: Remco Evenepoel, Jan Hirt, Pieter Serry, Fabio Jakobsen, Michael Morkov and Yves Lampaert.
