The deal had been done behind the scenes already recently, but now has been officially confirmed. Team DSM have revealed that both men's and team's squads will be racing under a new sponsor, as the team will be renamed to Team DSM-Firmenich.
The change will happen now after the Tour de Suisse, riders will debut the new jerseys at the Giro Donne and the Tour de France respectively. In a video shared on social media riders on a training camp have already revealed the new colours.
“We are really proud that we will soon carry the new company and brand with its inspiring purpose, emblazoned over our fleet, kits, social channels and more," DSM CEO Iwan Spekenbrink said in a press release. "The merger between two leading companies is a big milestone for this new major force in health, nutrition and beauty. As a cycling team we also have the goal of bringing progress to life through our people on and off the bike. It will be inspiring to continue doing this as Team dsm-firmenich.”
