The Grand Tours are the time for equipment changes, and
Movistar Team, the home World Tour squad will be racing in a special equipment dedicated to the success and history of
Alejandro Valverde within the team.
Much like Astana Qazaqstan Team, Movistar have chosen a white jersey for their change in the race. The equipment includes several of Valverde's major wins throughout his career, and will be used throughout the 21 days through the Netherlands and Spain.

Vuelta a Espana starts today with a 23-kilometer long team time-trial in Utrecht and Movistar will begin their effort for the overall classification where they will be hoping Enric Mas can score high points and push them away from the World Tour maintenance fight.
