After loosing Ángel Madrazo yesterday, Burgos-BH have today announced a new Covid-19 positive rider within the Spanish team's bubble as Manuel Peñalver was affected and will not start the Vuelta a Espana.

This comes as a big hit as Peñalver, 23 years of age, was perhaps the team's best option to take a stage win, having impressed this season in the sprints including a second place in a hotly contested sprint at the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana earlier this year. Due to the proximity to the start, Burgos hence have also explained there will not be a replacement for Peñalver, and the team will start the race with seven riders.

Burgos-BH will be fighting for stage wins throughout the Vuelta, whilst also chasing TV exposure and possible stints in the classifications jerseys. Their task will be more complicated now, however they have the likes of José Manuel Díaz and Victor Langellotti to boost their chances.
