Marijn van den Berg outsprints Biniam Girmay and Ethan Vernon to claim victory in Trofeo Alcúdia

Marijn van den Berg has won the Trofeo Alcúdia. He beat Biniam Girmay and Ethan Vernon to the finish line.

Julius van den Berg, Alessandro Fancellu, Luis Angel Maté, and Colby Lange successfully broke away from the peloton and formed the first breakaway of the race, with a lead of over 3 minutes.

The breakaway was caught by the peloton in the final kilometres. Nils Politt attacked 10 kilometres before the finish line. However, his attempt failed, and a chaotic sprint ensued in which Marijn van den Berg took the top spot. Ethan Vernon finished second. Biniam Girmay took the third spot.
