Mads Pedersen has continued his strong run of form to take another win at the Circuit Cycliste Sarthe, once again taking the best out of a sprint, to reinforce his lead as he once again shook the dreams of Kévin Vauquelin.
Today's third stage to Sablé-sur-Sarthe saw only 176 kilometers on the road, mostly flat, nevertheless a bunch sprint was almost interrupted as Kévin Vauquelin arrived in the final kilometer alone and was close to take the win. He was in fact caught only in sight of the line and by Pedersen alone, who took away the win from the Frenchman in the final meters. Mark Cavendish finished third as he returned to stage contention.
