The last stages of both the Volta a Comunitat Valenciana and Etoile de Bessèges are taking place today. In Spain, Remco Evenepoel got the leader's jersey yesterday after an impressive acceleration in the last climb that no other rider could match. Today's stage isn't particularly demanding, as the only two categorized climbs are far away from the finish line, so he shouldn't struggle to secure the GC. The situation is the opposite at the Etoile de Bessèges, as the GC is completely open. Today features the traditional time trial to Ermitage, and there are a handful of riders with serious options to steal the overall. How will both races end? - I was waiting for that one but don’t agree. Doesn’t fall into my serious category. Someone in his position shouldn’t have a problem preparing for a TdF after breaking a wrist in April, and if so, people would have to give Jonas way more credit for what he achieved after April Itzulia, the winning margins having been similar. We have even seen riders riding on with broken wrists and training wise I think you’ll have to agree it doesn’t stop preparation anywhere near as much as broken ankles, incapacitated lungs or even lengthy back problems. Some riders may be called crazy for 5 hour indoor sessions but if that’s all it takes to secure winning the TdF I’m sure a broken wrist wouldn’t stop Tadej from adapting. - That’s a great interview on Roadman. I loved watching that era of cycling, the mid to late 80’s, it’s what built my passion for the sport. And then came epo. - Alpecin-deceuninck's multi-layered Milano-Sanremo machine can't be broken with one rider, even if he's as strong as Pogi. They have Philipsen as Plan A, Groves as Plan B, Van der Poel as Plan C, and Del Grosso may also be a factor. UAE have one card in Pogačar, but nothing else. They need to sign Arnaud de Lie ASAP .
