La Vuelta España Femenina to "undergo a thorough facelift in 2023"

With more stages and a new home on the calendar, the women's version of the Vuelta a Espana will be bigger and better than ever before in 2023 according to the renowned Spanish sports newspaper Marca.

Since the first, one-day edition in 2015, La Vuelta España Femenina has been growing year-on-year and in 2023 it will consist of seven stages for the very first time. Also after being held in the Autumn for the last couple of years, the 2023 edition will take place in May.

Annemiek van Vleuten rode to victory in the race formerly known as The Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta this year and after the Dutchwoman's success at the Giro d'Italia Donne and the Tour de France Femmes she is sure to be the hot favourite for the revamped La Vuelta España Femenina.
