La Molina, Monserrat and Queralt - 2025 Volta a Catalunya route revealed with 3 summit finishes!

The 104th edition of the Volta a Catalunya will take place between March 24 and March 30, 2025 and will have a very demanding and spectacular route with three summit finishes. Today the organization has confirmed the different routes of the seven stages with the different departure and arrival locations, although we still do not have the complete profiles available.

After a beastly 2024 in which we could see an exhibition of Tadej Pogacar, the race will return in 2025 with attractions to attract again some of the best riders in the world and, as we have mentioned. There will be three summit finishes at La Molina, Monserrat (30 years later) and the spectacular Queralt in 3 very hard stages (3, 4 and 6).

The first stage, starting and finishing in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, mirrors the usual start - this year Nick Schultz surprised the peloton with a late attack and held off Tadej Pogacar. The second day between Banyoles and Figueres should be one for the sprinters. Two quiet days before facing the triptych on March 26, starting at Viladecans the Style Outlets shopping center and finishing in the mountain resort of La Molina which is now a usual presence in the race.

On Thursday, an unprecedented start from Sant Vicenç de Castellet and arrival at the mythical Monserrat as part of the celebrations of the millennium of the Monastery. On Friday 28th it will be the turn of the Terres de l'Ebre area before another stage on Saturday 29th with the finish again at the top of Queralt where great battles will be fought (and Pogacar won with a beastly solo attack this year) before the beautiful and traditional final stage in Barcelona with the traditional climb to Montjuic.
