Ketones in use at the Giro d'Italia as Remco Evenepoel is seen consuming controversial substance

Soudal - Quick-Step is one of the few teams who is a known user of ketones in pro cycling and at the finale in Gran Sasso d'Italia Remco Evenepoel was seen consuming the substance.

This has been reported by David Lehaire of DH, who is at the scene at the Giro. A picture of the World Champion consuming a little bottle was taken after yesterday's stage. The use of ketones is legal however frowned upon frequently due to the possible benefits it brings and for the fact that MPCC teams do not use it, often being a cause for debate whether it leads to a difference in performances.
