Jumbo-Visma loose Tour de France DS as Merijn Zeeman tests positive for Covid-19

Jumbo-Visma have, so far, successfully avoided Covid-19 within it's lineup for the Tour de France, however the same can't be said about the team's staff as the main directeur sportif Merijn Zeeman will be forced to miss the race do to a Covid-19 infection.

Zeeman is the leading figure behind the wheel in the Dutch team, often racing alongside the Tour de France block, largely around Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard, however he will be forced to watch the race behind the screen as a last-minute positive test result will see changes in Jumbo.

How much this can affect the team is left to be seen however it is not a good way to start off the race. Jumbo-Visma will be trying to win the Tour de France with the lethal combination of Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard, being supported by a very strong and rounded-out lineup containing the likes of Wout van Aert and Steven Kruijswijk.
