Jumbo-Visma's lineup announcement was widely unknown until the very last few days, with Primoz Roglic's uncertainty over his injuries from recent crashes. The Slovenian has recovered in time however, and will be leading the Dutch team at the Vuelta a Espana.
He will be looking to defend his titles at the Vuelta which he has won since the year of 2019. The routes suit Roglic well, and this year will be no exception. His form will be a relative mystery however, but he has in the past shown great evidence of getting up to form with no racing. He'll have key domestique Sepp Kuss ride with him through the mountains of the race.
"We are delighted that Primoz can start in the Vuelta after his serious injury in the Tour de France. Logically, he didn't have the best preparation, but we greatly respect him for how he managed to get ready," team DS Merijn Zeeman said.
The team will also see Rohan Dennis make an appearance, who should be eyeing the race's time-trials - with collective and later on individual ambitions. Chris Harper and Sam Oomen will provide further support in the mountains, as will veteran Robert Gesink, whilst Edoardo Affini and Mike Teunissen will be crucial support riders for the flat days - with Teunissen likely to have freedom to chase his own results on some occasions.
