UAE Team Emirates have unveiled their line-up for the upcoming Tour de Romandie with Juan Ayuso set to return to action for the first time since riding to a third-placed overall finish at the 2022 Vuelta a Espana.
"After some niggling injuries I'm happy to announce that I'll finally start my season next week at the Tour de Romandie," a delighted 20-year-old Spaniard told his team's official website. Big things were expected from Ayuso after such an impressive Vuelta but his 2023 campaign has been put on hold due to some persistent tendonitis.
Alongside Ayuso for UAE will be recent top-10 finisher at Gent Wevelgem, Mikkel Bjerg, Giro di Sicilia stage winner Finn Fisher-Black, the experienced Rafal Majka, former UAE Tour winner Adam Yates, Slovenian Domen Novak and 26-year-old Ivo Oliveira.
