Without Mads Pedersen, Lidl-Trek might seem to be only at half their strength for the Classics opening weekend on Saturday, but the team has its quality and is not to be underestimated. The American team has confirmed a strong selection for both Omloop het Nieuwsblad on Saturday and Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne on Sunday.
Jasper Stuyven is former champion of both races, having won Omloop in 2020 and K-B-K in 2016. This time, he's certainly not the main favourite but you don't have to go too far for a surprise winner on cobbles. Additionally, Jonathan Milan should provide extra firepower in case a finish of a larger group takes place.
