Jakob Fuglsang leads Israel - Premier Tech at Tour de Suisse: "I go into the race with a lot of confidence"

Jakob Fuglsang has finished on the podium of the Tour de Suisse three times in the past (2010, 2018, and 2021). Now he is aiming for a fourth . Israel-Premier Tech has announced the rider list and the selection is built around the Dane.

"I'm really looking forward to testing myself in the Tour de Suisse, it’s definitely one of my favorite races on the calendar and one where I can do well," the 37-year old said ahead of the race. It feels like everything is falling into place just before the Tour de France, so this will be my last test. We have a strong team and I know I will have good support from the guys during the week. It would be nice to go for a stage win and be on the podium again." Fuglsang concludes.

The 37-year-old Fuglsang will be supported in the Tour of Switzerland by Daryl Impey, Hugo Houle, Krists Neilands, Reto Hollenstein and Sebastian Berwick. Patrick Bevin will also be part of the team but will be given a free role. The New Zealander has already won three times this season. He took a stage and the overall victory in the Tour of Turkey, before also achieving one-day success in the Tour of Romandie, and will be looking to replicate his success here.
