The 2023
Tour de France Femmes is almost upon us and arguably the biggest threat to reigning champion
Annemiek van Vleuten will be
Team SD Worx's Dutch superstar,
Demi Vollering.
The 26-year-old has been all-conquering so far in 2023, taking notable victories at races such as Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes, Amstel Gold Race, La Flèche Wallonne Féminine, Strade Bianche Donne and the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas including others. To win the Tour de France Femmes however, would be on another level says Vollering.
“If I win the Tour de France Femmes, it will definitely be my biggest victory,” Vollering told an episode of The Power of Sport. “Before the last training block, my teammates all wished me good luck. 'We'll see you in the Tour and then we'll ride everyone in a pile,' they said. That gave so much motivation!”
