Tadej Pogacar announced the plan of attack for next season at the on-going training camp earlier this week. While neither Paris-Roubiax nor Grand Tour triple seem to be on the menu, we can still look forward to having the Slovenian king in action on cobbles as he intends to complete an extended cobbled schedule culminating at the Tour of Flanders.

"For me as a fan of one-day races it is very special," Eurosport commentator Bobbie Traksel looks ahead. "It is fantastic for the cycling fans in the Netherlands and Belgium. The best cyclist of 2024 is coming to the Benelux."

Traksel also calls on his main competitors. "We hope that in addition to Pogacar, Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert will also appear at the start in top condition. If they are all 100 percent top, then we will have a fantastic battle. I am already longing for that."

Some may still find Pogacar's program a bit meager, but Traksel disagrees. "It really shouldn't be underestimated. Especially because in addition to the Tour there is also a Giro or Vuelta."

"Both would be very interesting. He could return to the Giro as defending champion, but I think the Vuelta would be even better. He has never won that. Pogacar is really ticking off the list. I think I will dream about Tadej on the Kemmel tonight," Traksel concluded.
