The brilliant Demi Vollering continued her incredible run of dominance in 2023, claiming a stunning stage win of the final day of racing at the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas and securing the overall race win.
"It was another great team performance. We controlled the stage from the start. They did very well and rode themselves completely empty," said the Team SD Worx leader following the conclusion to the stage in which she was simply a level above all her rivals on the final climb.
"Marlen Reusser gave me a lead-out to the bottom of the climb. When she was done with her head turn I thought: go," Vollering continues. "I wanted to do the climb at my own pace. I wanted to see how fast I could go, also in view of the Tour de France Femmes. To gain confidence."
SD Worx have been all-conquering so far this season and at the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas it was no different as they took victory in all 4 stages. “We rode this last block of races really well. The cooperation was very good. I think we can be very proud."
