"We ask ourselves how this is possible and how long we can continue like this" - SD Worx race director

The 2022 season could hardly be called anything other than a successful one for Team SD Worx, who did after all once again claim the top team spot on the Women’s WorldTour rankings. However, in 2023 the Dutch squad hit a whole new level; by mid-May they have already equalled their last year's win tally. Team's director Danny Stam talked briefly about their season so far.

"I simply have no words for that," said Stam. "We ask ourselves how this is possible and how long we can continue like this. Everyone is at level. Although you can't always control that yourself. With us too, some riders are now suffering a bit from injury, but our winners are spared from it for now.”

Team SD Worx keeps on winning left and right. It's almost as if they're flying in their saddles. Team's 2023 victory palmares include Ardennes triple, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Dwars doors van Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem, Strade Bianche, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Itzulia Women (GC as well stages).

Goes without saying that Demi Vollering is the culprit behind most of these results, but it's not just her. Lotte Kopecky, Lorena Wiebes, Marlen Reusser and the others are trying their best to catch up with the flying Dutch.
