With a convincing sprint,
Lorena Wiebes won the third stage of the
Vuelta a Burgos Feminas with arrival to Melgar de Fernamental. The 25-year-old Dutch finished off the good preparatory work of her
Team SD Worx - Protime teammates, who controlled the whole stage for their Dutch sprinter. And the former European champion didn't disappoint.
"I was brought perfectly. It's very nice to get another win in the first stage race of the second part of this season," said Wiebes, who has already managed to raise hands on seven occasions this year, most recently at the
Scheldeprijs.
