"I didn't know that Papou could beat Mathieu van der Poel" - Romain Bardet's son has heartwarming reaction to Liege-Bastogne-Liege

Sandwiched between two of the greats of the modern era on the Liege-Bastogne-Liege podium, Romain Bardet's performance last Sunday was incredibly impressive.

Whilst the Frenchman was thriving in the Ardennes however, Bardet's son was watching on emotionally from home, as showcased on the Team DSM-Firmenich PostNL leader's wife's Instagram account. "A tear in the eye for Angus. 'You know Mamoune, I didn't know that Papou could beat Mathieu van der Poel,'" the boy says in joyous disbelief. A heartwarming moment to be sure!
