General Classification Standings after Stage 19

it was a very intense day when it came to the overall classification. Derek Gee, Michael Storer, Damiano Caruso and Mathys Rondel were amongst those in the day's breakaway, threatening major changes in the Top10. Ben O'Connor tried, but cracked completely and fell out of the battle.
The attack was almost fully neutralized due to the work of Visma, INEOS and Decathlon, but some riders still benefited from it quite a lot. However all of the differences between the big men were only directly created on the final climb.
Jonas Vingegaard remained conservative on the wheel of his rivals and maintains over 4 minutes of lead over Felix Gall; but Jai Hindley has moved into third place. INEOS opted for a conservative strategy on the day, but when Gall attacked Thymen Arensman was immediately dropped and isolated. The gaps at the finish were significant, and Hindley - 1:01 minutes behind Gall - has moved up and now has 29 seconds over Arensman.
Derek Gee is fifth in the standings now, also 58 seconds away from Arensman which means that this could still be an ongoing battle at Piancavallo. Afonso Eulálio had a tremendous stage and saved his GC tilt, maintaining himself in sixth place and the lead of the youth classification.
Davide Piganzoli and Damiano Caruso are eighth and ninth whilst Egan Bernal climbed into the Top10 after O'Connor's crack. Mathys Rondel is very close and could try jumping into the Top10 tomorrow however. Chris Harper and Sepp Kuss have both climbed several positions; whilst O'Connor and David de la Cruz complete the Top15.

King of the Mountains Standings after Stage 19

The king of the mountains classification has changed hands, as Giulio Ciccone is the new leader. The queen stage had plenty points and the race's highest point in the Passo Giau. With the many ascents and also the third place at the summit finish, the Italian rider was able to go through Jonas Vingegaard.
His lead is also significant, with 273 points now achieved, whilst Vingegaard has only 216 - and the a switch being unlikely tomorrow at Piancavallo. Einer Rubio moved into third place.
