GC Update Paris-Nice 2025 after stage 4 - Jonas Vingegaard takes yellow jersey ahead of Jorgenson, Almeida comes closer to Visma duo

Stage 4 of Paris-Nice delivered a lot of action, from everything between a race neutralization, lots of attacks on the final climb and a yellow jersey chance. We take a look at the new overall classification after the first mountain stage.

João Almeida won the stage after an incredibly comeback in the final meters and climbed to 5th position, now 37 seconds back on race leader Jonas Vingegaard. The Dane took over the yellow jersey from his teammate Matteo Jorgenson who lost a few seconds at the finish line.

Vingegaard now leads the race with 5 seconds over Jorgenson whilst in third place sits Mattias Skjelmose and several riders in very close proximity. He, Florian Lipowitz and João Almeida are separated by a mere 4 seconds; whilst THymen Arensman and Brandon McNulty remain the only other riders within a minute of the lead.
