Five potential leaders at Strade Bianche - UAE Team Emirates opt with depth on white roads

UAE Team Emirates are a team of immense depth and talent. Sometimes without the presence of a decided leader it can lead to unexpected results, and at Strade Bianche the defending winner's team are setting off with multiple options for a strong result.

Tadej Pogacar has decided not to take part in the Italian race, instead to fully focus on his Paris-Nice campaign. To replace him is a very strong team where all seven riders realistically have chances of a good result.

Tim Wellens has won a stage at the Vuelta a Andalucia and has shown brilliant form on the Opening Weekend, attacking both classics and causing decisive splits. He will perhaps be the most dangerous weapon from the team as this type of race should suit his classics-style of racing perfectly.

The team comes with Italian trio of Diego Ulissi, Alessandro Covi and Davide Formolo, all of which are riders who've shown great form at different points this season and can be dangerous. Brandon McNulty has not been on his best form but will without a doubt be another rider to consider. The team is completed by Sjoerd Bax and George Bennett.
