BREAKING: Tom Pidcock makes surprise return to racing and leads INEOS Grenadiers at Paris-Roubaix

INEOS Grenadiers have revealed their lineup for this Sunday's Paris-Roubaix and it includes a special surprise that came out of the blue. Tom Pidcock is gearing up to return to racing in the Hell of the North for the first time.

The Briton was to race Itzulia Basque Country but crashed whilst doing the recon of the opening time-trial. This cost him crucial racing days ahead of the Ardennes where he holds big goals. After being clear of injury, Pidcock returned home but then made the trip to France and is now on the startlist of Roubaix for the first time, where he will be an outsider for a strong result - or even more as he thrives when bike technique is necessary.

It is an important boost to the team's ambitions. Joshua Tarling will be racing here for the second time and will be an interesting rider to follow after a good cobbled classics campaign; he and Ben Turner are good options for a result on the right day. Ben Swift, Connor Swift, Elia Viviani and Andrew August complete the lineup mostly as support riders.

INEOS Grenadiers for Paris-Roubaix:

Andrew August, Tom Pidcock, Ben Swift, Connor Swift, Joshua Tarling, Ben Turner and Elia Viviani.
