After just a single day in their new, specially designed kit for the Tour de France, BORA - hansgrohe have been forced to revert to their traditional kit by race organisers, ASO.
According to ASO, the BORA-hansgrohe kit seen on the opening stage of the race has been adjudged to be too similar to the all-new Green Jersey for the rider best placed in the points classification, with the race not wanting to cause any confusion.
“With this kit we want to thank all the riders who ,with us, have written these stories. None of this would have been possible without them,” said BORA - hansgrohe's team manager Ralph Denk when announcing that kit. Sadly for him, the kit only lasted a single stage.
