BEMER Cyclassics - Elia Viviani looks to take fourth consecutive title in world-class sprinter field

INEOS Grenadiers have had an incredibly busy weekend as a portion of the team began a crucial Vuelta a Espana with a packed team, at the Tour of Denmark the team defended Magnus Sheffield's GC ambitions and Egan Bernal's return, but at the BEMER Cyclassics the ambitions are also high with Elia Viviani in the lead.
Winner of the race in 2017, 2018 and 2019, this is a route that suits the Italian to perfection. The race has had a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, and Viviani has in the meantime moved away from Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team. However, his first win here came with the British team, and he'll hope to replicate the result. He's struggled with results in the bunch sprints this year however, with an isolated win at the Tour de la Provence making for his sole success of the season on the road.
This week however he won a gold medal on the track hours after finishing seventh place at the European championships on the road, showing good form. INEOS won't have much of a leadout to assist him in the final meters, but have a team capable of attacking the race and shedding rivals sprinters. Ben Swift can be considered the main leadout man if it comes to that, but Jhonatan Narváez and Magnus Sheffield will be dangerous riders in the explosive part of the race.

Over the course of his career, he has conducted approximately 100 interviews across road cycling and cyclocross, ranging from one-to-one conversations and online formats to press conferences and on-site pre- and post-race coverage. His interviews include leading riders, team managers, and prominent figures within cycling media: Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard, Mathieu van der Poel, Primoz Roglic, Wout van Aert, Joao Almeida and Tom Pidcock; managers like Patrick Lefevere and Joxean Matxin; and YouTube personality Bryan Kennedy (BKXC)...

Years ago LeMond had real personal problems I imagine in no small part because of Armstrong. then Armstrong goes round "full blast" re: LeMond having drinking and drug problems. The same way Andreu was expelled from mainstream cycling so was LeMond. On the positive side the clips of the ride and chatting with old teammates and was good.
