Arnaud de Lie resisted the climbs on the 3rd stage of Étoile de Béssèges to take the win. The Lotto-Dstny rider showed tremendous skills by enduring the multiples attacks that occurred to take the sprint win and raise to 3 victories this season.
The race started with a breakaway of 7 riders consisting mainly of the Pro Continental and Continental teams present at the race with the World Tour rider Dries de Bondt (Alpecin-Fenix) present again. At around 43 km Andrea Piccolo (EF Education EasyPost) crashed but nothing much serious. The break was caught close to 23 km to go.

At the 1st climb a lot of attacks happened with stage favorite Mads Pedersen(Trek-Segafredo) loosing contact. A lot of attacks occurred during the climb A group around 50 riders was established and on the last climb Arnaud de Lie managed to remain with the front riders. On the descent Neilson Powless (EF Education-EasyPost) made a dangerous attack that broke the peloton.
But despite the numerous attacks and a last km crash, all ended in a sprint with Arnaud de Lie (Lotto-Dstny) taking the best ahead of Valentin Ferron (Total Energies) and Sam Watson (Groupama-FDJ).
