As is becoming a growing trend in the modern peloton, teams are unveiling specially designed, one-off jerseys for the
Tour de France. The latest team to do so for the 2024 edition are
Alpecin-Deceuninck.
Having been riding for much of the 2024 season in a double denim style outfit, for the upcoming Tour de France, the likes of
Mathieu van der Poel and
Jasper Philipsen will be seen in a very sharp, sleek and stunning dark grey version of the kit. "Time for Dark Denim, time for Grey Attack!" the team write via their
official Instagram account.
"To support the Europe-wide media campaign of our partner Alpecin_de featuring their Alpecin Grey Attack shampoo, we switch to Dark Denim for this year’s Tour de France!" the post continues. "While our riders are constantly fighting the time and never giving up, this campaign and related kit, symbolise the fight against one of the most visible signs of ageing – grey hair. World champion Mathieu van der Poel will be featured in the Dark Denim kit during both time trials, our other seven riders will wear it for three weeks."
